Whats "normal" wait-time for SLP to ship?
Hey guys, i ordered an SLP CAI, with an SLP Air Foil, and a SLP License Plate. I know maybe i should just contact SLP for this info, but they usually have there 7-10 business day BS.
Anyways, from your experience if u have shopped from them, whats the usually waiting time to get things shipped to u?
Like i ordered my stuff on Thursday Feb 13, and now its Monday Feb 17, and im still waiting for the tracking number from UPS to be sent via E-Mail.
Im just used to companies having a 24-hour wait time to ship. Like they ship on even the same day if its done by a certain time, like 5pm ET! But it dont look like SLP follows this 24 hour wait period.
Im just very anxious to get the products in, and im hoping u can shed some light here guys, thanks

2 weeks, holy ****! Thats a long time, damn. Why the hell they take so damn long, just fill out the order and send that stuff, whats the damn hold-up?
I still havent got a UPS tracking number from them, so its been 3 business days, and 5 days if u include the weekend. Im impatient
Hey john5.7 87Iroc what did u order from them, and did they ship it from New Jersey to u? If its NJ, then 2 day max it should take from UPS.
But now this damn Winter storm that hit them probably screwed things up, i heard they were closed yesturday.
I just dont think its fair to pay $20 for shipping when its gonna take *ucking two weeks to arrive!!! Sheeze for $20, i can get Next-Day Air or something at pretty much every other online auto store and get it in 2 days.
SLP, move yo ***.
Thanks

it was like two years ago for both orders. I had orderd wheels the one time and headers the next both were shipped from there NJ facility and sent ups. hopefully by now they have sped things up a little but they haven't even sent you a tracking number so maybe they haven't. I don't think Ill ever deal with them again anyway for other reasons.
Two feet of snow is going to slow SLP and UPS on your shipment.
Keep trying with the e-mail to get the tracking number-no number means not shipped. Everything I ordered from ( Headers, Exhuast, Runners and etc,) them was received within five days.

Ya, i see. Well thanks for at least shedding some light on this. At least i now i have some proof as too how long they take.
This my first, and probably last time i order from SLP. There products i have no complain, or at least not yet. But as far as shipping, im definitely gonna search other places to order mods.
The only reason i ordered from SLP is because i wanted a professional look to the induction, and it looks like SLP is the only one who makes them for our cars.
I was gonna pick Thunderacing.com, but i wasnt sure if they got there stuff from SLP, or if they direct deliver from there warehouse, hence faster shipping than SLP.
Anyways, just for the heck of it, i'll post back when they actually send me a UPS code, and when it arrrives.

Listen, im just simply stating that SLP compared to Jegs, or Summit, or even Advance Auto Parts, then dont take nearly as long as SLP to ship, and for the same shipping price id get quicker shipping methods.
Hence there all business, so obviously either SLP is very small company compared to these other guys, or they dont have a quick setup of moving orders through very quickly.
I dont really care how they run there "business", and thats not my job, im a consumer, and for me to pay such a price for shipping and to wait this damn long is rediculous.
And i still dont have a tracking number yet, heh.
Listen, just a few weeks ago i ordered from Summit and got a bunch of tune-up stuff, and UPS ground shipping was FREE, and it took them only 3 days to get it to my door from the time i ordered it, 3 days! For $20, i could of had it the next day i ordered it. So obviously from this awesome service to what im dealing with now, i think i have the right to get just a little fustrated.
