FLAT!

ok, here's the deal. i got SLP's takeoff wheels with GSC's on them. i got them in march, and haven't put more than 4,000 miles on them. yesterday in my work's parking lot, i got a screw in the sidewall just a quarter an inch away from the tread. UNREPAIRABLE! now i'm gonna have to spend $200 for a new one!

i was just wondering if you guys had heard of any places that buy tires that have plenty of tread left on them, but are unrepairbale?

turns out that after it happened i found out that i'm the 5th one in the past 2 weeks to have that happen. we're gonna try to have them pay for at least part of it, but that's looking unlikely. any suggestions on places that would buy my busted tire would be appreciated - money's extremely tight to pay $200 for a new tire. thanks

Pat

You're gonna be hard pressed to find a place to buy your busted a@% tire unless you had a warranty on them in the first place. I'm not a tirerack rep, but for $200 you can get TWO z-rated Kumho tires with probably the same if not better performance than the GSC's. And if you can pay a little extra and get the warranty to get them replaced next time you drive over a nail. Good luck!

Best 1/4 mile time: 13.8@ Speedworld Motorplex (used to be called Phoenix Raceway Park). I was so excited I forgot the mph.
