air conditioning conversion kit

Some years ago I bought this kit,and I wonder if it works?
It's from Quest: Auto Air Conditioning Conversion Kit.

"Allows any R-12 Air conditioner to use R-134a.
The Quest conversion kit contains two ounces of Ester oil and special conversion additives. These additives allow the existing mineral oil and the Ester oil to be compatible. The mineral oil does not need to be removed.Other conditioners and sealers penetrate and rejuvenate the O-rings,gaskets,and other connectors to stop and prevent refrigerant leakage".

And than the instructions follow.

Has anyone used this kit?
Does it work?
It almost sounds to good to be real!
