MSD Digital 6

Just want to know if you guys have any opinions on the MSD Digital 6. Does anyone have it? Was it an easy install? Any useful informtion would be appreciated. I am going nitrous and want the ignition for a better spark and for the ever so crucial timing retard. Do you know if it can be controlled in the car or does it automatically pull timing when you hit the N20?

I is really nice. I would recommend it and it wasn't too bad to install if you understand a small amount about wiring. I could probably tell you how to install it over the internet.

How does it automatically pull the timing? If I do go with this box I'll be sure to Email you for some help on the install. Thanks for the reply.

I have the Digital 6 Plus in my 'Roc. Needless to say this is the best ignition out there on the market when it comes down to features for the buck. I believe it is the light blue wire or pink wire(one of those) that you supply 12V to, (hell the wires are long enough just tie it into something that gets 12V) thusly it activates the Step Retard for Nitrous. You determine how much timing it pulls out via the dial indicators that allow for 1* and .1* increments of timing retard for your application. So choose how much timing you want pulled out and it'll do the rest for you. Now that's what I call good tuneable insurance.

I have a Digital 6 box for my car but haven't installed it yet. One of my friends has MSD Digital 6 boxes in both of his rides. He is the one that convinced me to buy one after my Crane HI-6 died for the 3rd time. I have only heard good things about this ignition box.
