stalling non AIR headers

i'm putting on some headers that don't have AIR injection. i was just wondering if it was ok to yank off that hose that connects to the air thing on the old manifolds. i also wondered if i would have to do anything else to the smog system to run non air headers. thanx

If you run non-air headers, you will not be able to use any of your smog equipment. It's ok to pull those lines out. I did it with mine when I installed my headers.

I just swapped the 305 for a 350 in a'91 Z28 and I installed non-AIR headers. I removed the hoses, pump, and diverter valve. I wanted to keep the O2 sensor(obviously)and found K&N sells a weld-on bung that could be put on Y-pipe and so far,it looks like I will have to make pipe. You really need to check local smog laws, because the car might not pass inspection.HOPE THIS HELPS.
