Question RE: MSD Super Conductor Wires

Which set did you buy, the custom fit set or the universal set? I bought the custom fit set for Chevy SB, '88-on HEI, PN: 31839, cause that's what I thought my '91 Firebird 5.7L TPI was. In the MSD catalog, it listed that part number as V8 Camaro, Caprice, etc, '88-on. What I've now found is that on spark plugs 5, 6, 8, and probably 7, the spark plug end boots are straight boots with the stock wires on there now. But in the MSD kit, all plug wires have a 90* boot on the spark plug end of the wire. I know there's enough of you on here who have purchased these wires, and I'm just curious as to how you went about it. I'd really like to know what's goin' on. Thanks.

Basically, you want 90 degree boots with headers and straight boots for manifolds.

The 88up hei set has the 90 degree boots, so if you have manifolds, you're best bet is to get the multi-angle universal set.

Call Summit Racing 1-800-230-3030 and ask them what the part number would be. I know I have my reciept laying around somewhere and I thought I put it on my modeval site but I haven't yet. Call them and they will give u the number if u ask them for it.
"I need the part number for the MSD 8.5mm Superconducters for a 91 Firebird." Good luck.
