Its a good unit, several people have used it. Its cheap because they take them out of SS cars and put in an Auburn unit. This is the stock posi unit from 4th gen cars.

I have this unit currently in my Z with no complaints.I rebuilt th rear with all new bearings & seals, the zexel unit, used 28 spline axles out of a 91 Formula and reused my original gears, spent about $250.I also welded the axle tubes to the center and added a T/A girdle, along with lower control arm relocation brackets.Spent alot less than an aftermarket rear and it should last for a few more years.I recommend getting it if you are on a budget, can't be beat.

I got it when they were on sale for 74.95! I think there great and I have no complaints about mine. Hey, if they use them in the Firehawks then it can go in my car.

I too am happy with my unit. I wouldn't trust it with slicks, just street tread.

yeah, i've had mine since january. no problems at all. wouldnt really put it to the test with slicks, but it did the trick for me, chaning out my one-tire 2.73 to posi 3.73, and just havin' some fun . great bang for the buck.

I have one in my Formula that I raced for 2 years with slicks (ET Streets) and put on about 60k in miles commuting to and from work. No problems.
