Driveshaft loops
Who has them and what kind did you buy?
Are they hard to install?
I've seen universal ones that require drilling but you don't have to disconnect the driveshaft.
The Spohn one looks nice but is quite a bit more $$. I believe it connects to the crossmember but does require disconnecting the driveshaft.

I have the Spohn loop but haven't installed it yet. Its only 4 small bolts holding the d/s on. Alot easier then trying to drill holes in the floorpan. You have to use a poly tranny mount with the spohn loop tho.

Well I already have a poly trans mount so that may be a better reason to get the spohn one. A little pricey though. What did you pay for yours?

Had my car apart and found out the Spohn D/S loop wouldn't clear my exhaust(dual cats/dynomax and 3" flowmaster force two). That was my case though.

wingnut, how is the installation on the Jegster loop? It looks like it would require the driveshaft to be disconnected, but I will be getting my tranny rebuilt soon so it will be disconnected anyway. Where does it bolt up?
Thanks

Yes, I had to drop the driveshaft. It bolts up near the front of the driveshaft, just behind the front U-joint. I can't remember off hand where exactly the bolts are inside the car. I think they are just behind the front seats. I installed a new torque arm kit (also Jegs) at the same time, so I already had the front seats and carpet out of the car. I don't think that the seats have to come out to install just the loop. I'll have to look when I get home.

I wanted to get a driveshaft loop too. When I saw the price of the lakewood loop I thought I was dreaming. It was way cheaper then spohn. I e-mailed them and asked what was involved in the install. They said. Remove the seats, carpets, cat heat shields. Then drill holes in the floor pan.
I'm waiting for a 9" rear so I can get a spohn tourqe arm with a loop. No way am I going to drill holes in my baby. Plus spohn made the loop into an ovel to help with clearence. Sounds like a winner to me.
