Ok...I have been surfing the boards looking for a set of T-Top Seals. Are the ThirdGen Resource 8 piece set any good?
I need a set of seals as mine are leaking, bad...I am putting my car away in a couple of weeks for the winter so I don't mine waiting.

I have sourced a Canadian distributor (which is where I'm from) that will sell me this...

Window Top moldings (long black piece) - $105
T-Top Seals - $316.00
Drivers and Pass. Door Seals - $148.00

Does anybody know of anywhere else I can source these things? Canadian Distributors preferred... Free Trade My A$$ hehe.. we get nailed at the border with duty.

Seals? Dont you mean weatherstripping?

Who is your supplier? I had a dealer quote me a similar price for the window to top seal. Seams a bit pricy if it is aftermarket.

Yeah that is what I meant...weatherstripping. I spoke to my dealer and he said he didn't have the complete 8 piece set that Thirdgen has...he said that I would have to get it from my GM Dealer! Yeah right! That would cost a fortune!! It ain't a stocked item and would have to be special ordered at an outrageou cost!

Looks like I am going to have to go with ThirdGen.

Opps sorry I never added the supplier... they are located in Edmonton, AB

http://www.davidt.com

They are more specific to 1st and 2nd Gens but are getting more and more 3rd Gen restoration parts every week (as the demand grows for them I suspect)

My GM dealer quoted me a price of around $125 for a complete kit. If you price them out seperately, they come to over $400. I'll see if I can the the GM part #.

If you could get me that P/N that would be great but I think it is going to cost a fortune. I called my local GM dealer and just for the piece that goes around the T-Top opening and then down both sides costs..and get this.. $173.00/each!!! So it looks like I am going to be getting the ThirdGen Resource Kit and hope for the best!

TA Creations has assembled a complete set of T-Top weatherstrip.

Hope that helps.

Hey, guys... Let us know how the kit fits. I hesetate to buy anything like that because of the horror stories I've heard about them. I may just be paranoid, though.

I cant believe you guys still spend money with those people(thirdgenresource). If you buy from them and get screwed, you have nothin to complain about if youve read prior post about them here.If you buy from them and are happy, then consider yourself lucky. At my last count the bad out weighed the good, big time.good luck. This kit should be no more then $170.
