Cams and emissions
I was thinking of buying the 1992 OE firehawk cam from SLP. Do I have a prayer of passing emissions with this thing?
214/224 .470/.490 .501/.522 115deg Firehawk OE
I don't know cams AT ALL! I live in MA where the emission tests are a pain in the *** . here's a list of my mods to date.
1988 Trans Am
L98 w/19 LB. Injecters
AFPR
3.73 gears
Hypertech thermo master
160* thermo
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wondering why you have 19LB injectors on your 350... but anyway...
Wont be a problem with that cam as long as your cat is intact and your car is running properly. I have a 350 with the next SLP cam up from that one, no smog pump, no EGR, but it does have a cat, and it will pass the sniffer out here in Cali just fine, not even close to the limits.

T/A, I'm surprised that 214/224 cam is still available. I used that cam for many years (1989 to 1997). I passed smog in California with ease using it, so it will pass anywhere. If your car fails, it's not the cam.
