It's too bad you don't believe in Ebay. There's a supplier on there right now that's selling the older version, which retailed for ~$130, for ~$45!!!

Other than that, look at www.Summitracing.com and www.Jegs.com

Try doing a search as there has been a lot of discussion about them on the board.

take your "cash money" to the "post office" and get a "money order" and mail it.

then you can get a Gtech for $35 off ebay..... theres a guy on there selling them... he was backed up with orders though, so he may have raised the price....

But...

Can you trust Ebay???? The whole "ebay" thing is odd to me. I don't like the idea of sending ANY type of money to an individual (not even birthdays!) lol. Thanx anyhow...

I haven't had one problem (so far) on ebay. A hand full of dead beat bidders but that's all. The guy doing the 35 dollars for the G-tech is good in my book. Got mine from him no problem.

Well then enjoy paying full retail for everything you buy.

You would not believe how much you can save online.

Ebay is fantastic, I buy everything online, save a bunch of money and sit on my butt the whole time.

Being afraid of credit cards and the internet is really un warranted. CC have buyers protection and so does your bank account. USPS money orders are trackable and have fraud protection. USPS enforces mail fraud to the letter.

People's feedback is the key thing to watch on ebay but long as you use protected forms of money transfer, you can not lose.

I like the paypal credit card as its not real, its only good for as much money as you put on it. Plus the 1.5% cash back is nice.
Its the same as using cash but its not a CC or a debit card.
Paypal is not a bank so you do not get into any of them ripe off fee's or over withdraw fee's.

I save allot of money with my Paypal card, I carry less cash and spend less using it. I haven't spent more than $25-30 in real cash over the past 3 weeks.

I love not having to go inside to pay for gas.

The thing is...

I don't HAVE acredit card with which to register on Ebay so I can post a bid.... How the heck am I supposed to buy the darn thing? What I want is a way to purchase one either locally or on Ebay without registering. (unless someone here has one and wants to make some cash?)

once you get a bank account, they will give you a fake credit card/ debit card [ask for one] that you can use to get on Ebay and paypal. Then destroy the debit card. [ you will have a paypal card to replace it] The fees on debit cards are wacked. Its not worth the temptation.

OK that or there is another way to get on Ebay. But you gotta send in copies of like 5 forms of id and its not worth it.

I wasn't really getting on ya but if you take the necessary steps, the risk is minimal and the gains are great.

And of course you should have one special bank account just for Ebay n paypal. DO NOT use your primary savings account or checking account. Any bank will give you an account for a $20-$50 deposit. Never keep more than a $100 or so on the paypal card or in that bank account. You only have money in them to spend, not save.

You are protected well that way but the people you hear about getting riped off online are the ones that used CC accounts with 10,000 limits and 50 grand in the bank to sign up. They were targeted for a reason.

Cool

Thanks for the Tips dude, totally logical advice. I'm gonna have a buddy of mine bid for me, he does the Ebay thing, I jus don't feel like going through the trouble of openng another account right now, I've been pretty busy at the shop lately (when you get off at 9:00 pm, the banks are closed ) Thanks though

Supply and demand.

They were $35... he's sold a lot, doesn't have many left so he upped the price.

Can you blame him?

It's still a great deal. I have on that I bought for ~$110 and I was thinking of getting a friend one for X-mas. For $50, it's still a great deal.

yea... it can tell you your current Gs and stuff..... but its not really fun unless you're "giving it hell"

as far as the ebay thing,i dont think you need a credit card anyway.. if you do, thats new to me.... you should be able to use your bank account number anyhoo... with routing number ect... bascily a electronic check...

btw, all debit cards arnt evil.. i LOVE mine... im in a credit union, so i get FREE debit card usage... no fees.. never was charged a cent. i literally got 5-10 pages of transactions a month from that thing. its great... 1. it keeps track of my spending better then i would having to write it.. and 2. its QUICK.
i used it for everything, from gas, to a 25 cent pack of gum. went thru a card every 2 months from wear.. lol....

i need to see if i can find a local credit union.. they're great...

anyhoooo, just sit down one evening and join ebay... its worth it...
