I have found Hotwheels "Blown Camaro" which is a Third Gen orange with decals, twice only. In 1:18th I have only seen a '89 funny car Camaro and it was plastic and kinda cheap.

Why are they're none? Oh well, as the popularity picks up, maybe we'll see more.

Interestingly enough, I just went to a parts-o-rama on Saturday. I don't know squat about 1/16, etc, but I found two types of die cast 3rd gen Camaros at the parts-o-rama.

One type were about 10 inches long. One was an 82 Pace Car in Blue/Gray. The other was a red 82 Z28.

The other type was about 7.5 inches long and the guy had 4 - One red, one dark red metallic, one black, one blue all 82 Z28's. I got the red one, my 7 year old got the dark red metallic.

Too bad I have an 88 IROC...

Since I am sitting at my desk I can look at it:
Manufacturer: Saico
Item No: DP8030

Not a top quality one, but not bad either.

I have seen and have on hand lots of 1/18th scale diecast. What me and 86fyrbrd are longing for is the 1/18th scale of any 3rd generation Pontiac Firebird.Just in case some of you don't know what 1/18th scale means. It means for every 18 inches on a "real car" represents 1 inch on the model cars. The 1/18th scale is usually around 10 inches or so.Oh by the way who out there would like to buy a 1/18th scale 1969 Baldwin Motion Camaro? Its Black on Black.Very sharp!Mint in box, never been opened.Email me and lets talk.Anyone seen a 1/18th scale 82-92 Firebird?..Please help me and 86fyrbrd out!..Thanx!

Re. the gay decals- They are gay, aren't they? I have found 2, and when I paint my car, I'm going to paint over one of them, stick it on the dash or something.

There are several third gen diecasts out there.

2 - Matchbox Firebird Police cars
2 - Matchbox Camaro Police cars

couple of different versions on the Hot Wheels blown Camaro.

Johnny Lighting Playing Mantis Camaro Police car

Johnny Lighting Camaros and IROCs.

Monopoly Camaro - available at Target.

1:18 scale 1982 Camaro Z28 available in Pace Car or Blue, Red, or White. BTW I have an extra white one if someone wants, I will let it go for $20 plus shipping.

There are 1:24 scale plastic Firebirds and Camaros I found at Albertson market. They Blue or Red with neon green trim. I painted the Neon to silver.

Check out my web site for pictures of some of them.

Later,

I found a nice 80/81 Z28 by Ertl. Not sure the scale, (it's in storage) but its about 10" long. I also found a red 82-84 Z28 by Ertl, same size. I got lucky and both had the orignal boxes. The 80/81 has the original sales receipt from a drug store for like $3.79! I also have the Franklin Mint 69 Camaro, and the Jim Beam 69 Pace Car Whiskey Decanter, Unopened! That Beam is getting more aged every day. I also have the plastic 97 SS model signed by Scott Settlemeyer (sp). I won it at the 30th anniversary birthday party in Ohio, my 92 Z28 convertible was his choice as favorite on the show field because he had one like it as a company car! I also have a 92 25th plastic promo model from Chevrolet.

I have been on the look out for a 3rd Gen. 1/24:1 scale model, or Die cast I have searched all the hobby shops in my area, and still came up empty. I'm looking for an 89 or 90 Iroc Z or an RS.

eBay has what your looking for bros, Do a search..1 18 Camaro make sure you do not use the : or the / it causes more diecast cars to show up during the search. I have seen I believe three colors of the Camaro and the new Police version. Hope this helps.

eBay has them all the time. I have also seen them at KBee/Toy liquidation stores. You can also do a search under Diecast sites and buy directly from the site itself. I have done it several times myself.

Oh those models are the coolest! I love the little teeny spark plug wires. I have seen a 1/8 or 1/16 (I'm not sure which one, the box was pretty big) model at Hungates in the mall. I am definitely going to get that now.
