used edelbrock headers?

used edelbrock headers?

i found a pair of used edelbrock shorty headers for $100 from an 89 tpi with dual cat. i have an 88GTA. they won't fit will they? is there anyway to modify the headers to fit for single cat? thanks.

If the engines are the same cu.in., one would think that the headers don't have to be modified, the Y pipe would have to be, in order to bolt up to the cat. Why not go ahead and run duals and experiance more hp. and torque gains? Crossing over to a single cat. and muffler is like putting headers on just one side of the engine. Your only going to get half of the benifit. The time spent installing duals will be worth the extra effort in the long run!

they will bolt up, but like said u need to modify the y-pipe for single cat. or just modify the rest to fit into I-pipe and delete the cats. just use all straight pipe.

well im still new to half of this and i didnt know if the piping would like be properly alligned with where the cat would be. we're ripping the cat out soon and straight piping it anyways

the actual headers are the same for single or dual cat. Since you are removing the car, it's really simple to use the dual cat setup, any competent exhaust guy will be able to install these. IMO
