It's useless.
The '85 TPI used the 1226870 ECM. Your '86 should have a 1227165 ECM. The two ECMs are quite different, and there is no compatibility between the two as far as PROMs go.

Thank *** too. That chip is garbage is an absolutly a waste. I had one in my 91 when I bought it and the car had nothing but problems. After messing with it dying after it got hot, horrible gas milage, error codes, and whole bunch more problems, I found that chip. Took it out and, no lie, my car ran 100 times better. With the stick chip I had better gas milage, acceleration, and the car stopped dying on me randomly when it got hot.
