Corbeau seats?

Has anyone used/know of Corbeau seats? The price seems good for what you get and it looks quite nice as well. I know they used it in car craft magazine for their formula once. Are they comfortable/last for a while? I like the headrests of these sport ones.

they aren't bad, they are a bit heavy in design and their cloth material often fades in the sun fast. their leather is stiffer then most seat companies as well but you get what you pay for. all things considered price wise they are nice.

we used these seats in my fathers 48 chevy pickup. for the price they are ok seats at best. they were just to stiff. a buddy of my fathers actually had to add padding to it to make it feel more comfotable, the only reason we did this also is because the seat was coming apart to match the rest of his interior, there black was more of a dark grey/ blue looking color and ddnt match up well, and we were removing the headrest also and adding skirts to cover the brackets we made for the bucket seats.... other then that there quality was very good and they have held up well for 1 1/2 yrs so far.

I bought a set of used Corbeau Targe RS seats a few years back. They were a little over a year old when I got them and the cloth was already faded. This wouldn't bother me so much IF it faded evenly. Evidenlty Corbeau had a problem with some cloth die lots fading. Half the panels on mine have have faded much worse than the remainig panels. Othewise I'm very pleased with the seats. They are very comfortable and hold me securely in place. I feel a lot more connected with the car as a result. I'm tempted to try dying the fabric back to black. I wasn't happy with how the seat slider adjustment lever was close to the front cross bar under the seat. Some people solve it by using a stack of washers between the seat track and the seat base. I chose to modify the seat adjuster by cutting off that hardened steel cross bar on the front of the base. Now it has plenty of clearance.

depends on too many factors but a daily driver without heavily tinted windows the sides will last you roughly a year. this isn't the end of the world however as you can fix it. corbeau uses cheaper materials to keep their costs down and make it more affordable. the seats are still very nice and for the price i don't think you can beat it when comparing msrp.

i dont like the idea of spending 350-400 a seat to have them fade

i want red seat to go with my red interior and the last thing i want is a pink orange faded seat

that is ridiculous

either recover them or spend the money on nicer seats with better material. sparco fade the same as well and the cheaper seats from apc and the rest are even faster.

So, in general, the corbeau seats are more less okay except for the fading problems?

With the stock corbeau seat brackets and NO sliders I had ZERO
head room in my car and could not wear a helmet inside the car.
I had to cut and reweld the seat brackets to lower the seats and give up all for-n-aft adjustment for leg room for different drivers.
I am only 6 ft. tall and I do not have T Tops. I am using the TRS seats. The seat are comfy tho once you get everything set.

you'll have to cut 2" off the brackets to get them anywhere close to where you want them and even then they are too tall in my opinion when compared to stock seat height. the 4thgen brackets will work and are slightly lower in height but still not worth it. your better of fabricating the stock brackets to work or making your own with a little effort.

I got the CR1s in red and LOVE them. They hold you in really nice and I haven't noticed any fading at all. This is my 3 season daily driver and does have some tint on the hatch and side windows.

The only problem I have is the brakets raised the seats up about an inch compared to stock and I have to lean back a little more than I like to, and a little scrunched up, though to be fair I am 6'4" and don't have t-tops.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the brackets rewelded so I can wear a helmet without slouching down in the seat.

Hmm....does anyone have any pictures or suggestions on how to make these custom brackets to fit the third gen brackets? I heard someone was going to use aluminum...but isn't aluminum to weak? What would be the best materials?

I bought my flo-fit seats used back in 2001 or 2002, and so far they have shown absolutely no signs of fading. Although a very firm seat, they are exceptionally comfortable. They may be worth consideration.

I installed by Forzas about a year and a half ago, black cloth, and they have not faded one bit. I could not be happier with them.
