Acel cap and rotor (in cap coil type)

bagh! I just got the tan cap from autozone and its slightly... "cheaper" then the original. The screws are a cheper grade and harder to turn at an angle, the rotor screws can be turned by a screwdriver only, not a socket like the old rotor. The cap doesnt feel like it fits on securly. When all 4 clips are down it doesnt move but when they are not it doesnt seem to lock on and center itself, it tilts left and right easily. The color lol... not tan, more of a dirty cardboard color. Other then the cheap look it seems to start the car but it doesnt feel right. I'm not pleased and am thinking of switching to MSD.

The only thing u will gain with the MSD is paying for the name.

Find a store near you that carries the Standard brand. It will be a blue cap and rotor and has brass terminals. HAve beent eh best and most long lasting for me.

Compare it directly to the MSD stuff even, there sint a difference, except in the price

Accel stuff is junk I have had more than one disintegrate on me :-)

later

What about the MSD boxes that let you make timing adjustments from the driver seat? I hope those boxes are of good quality.
