Polished TPI plenum & throttle body...
I found a guy that polishes TPI intake plenum and throttle bodies, and does a really nice powder coating on the intake manifold and runners. I wanted to do it, but didn't have the time and patience to do it myself.
He sent me all the stuff via UPS Ground, and after I installed it, I boxed my crappy looking pieces and sent them back to him.
I think the total was somewhere around $225 - I forget the exact amount. I think it depends on where you live, he's in Olympia, Washington. His name is Rick Thrasher and his email is: RLThrasher@aol.com
Here's a photo of my engine taken today after I got everything on it (valve covers are ProForm polished aluminum fro Summit). I think it looks really good, and much better in person...

Oh, you're right... thanks, you made me so paranoid that I got out of bed, grabbed a flashlight and went to investigate! I think it must have been a spill or maybe gaskets seating - all that was there was a small stain, it was dry. I drove it for about an hour today and it seemed okay.
Hopefully it's nothing more than that!
I am pretty happy with the motor, although now that it looks decent I am having daydreams of twin turbos

You need to polish the therm. housing, and a little aluminum polish on the accumlater (i think thats what its called?). Thats not a bad price for nice work.

You are right about the thermostat housing - I noticed that, and he's sending me one. He's also sending me another driver's side runner, that one has an imperfection. I am happy with it, and now have to work on cleaning up the engine a bit. But for the price, it made a big difference in the way it looks under the hood.
More power will come down the road after I get everything fixed and get the car painted...
