Engine Analyzer Plus and Drag Race Analyzer from Performance Trends are a great combination. I have used Dynomation, Desktop Dyno and a few other programs and Engine Analyzer is much better. The program is a Windows based software and much more user friendly.

Many programs are too detailed. Engine building software IMO is not a substitute for dynos and experience. Their purpose is too see how well an engine responds to inputs/changes while not having dyno variables. What I mean by this is that you can take an engine from shop to shop and have it dynoed and come up with a different result every time. With the software it removes the variables so the software becomes the constant.

Even if a program is 20 hp off at every rpm this is still not an issue because you can see how this engine will respond to any modification and quantify the gains/losses. With that said my experience has shown that results are more accurate with the Performance Trends software than any thing else I have seen.

I will also say that I would stay away from the Engine Analyzer Pro since it is really too in depth with very little difference in the end result.
