that sucks that you're going through coils like that. Was the stock coil holding up ok? I've had no problems with my msd coil and neither have any of my friends who use them.

Mine works just fine, and I haven't heard of anyone else with that problem either....

I've been planning on getting that MSD replacement coil for some time now. I had an Accel coil for a couple years and it fried too. Back to the ol' stock reliable coil for now...

89formula, go with the MSD coil, you wont regret it...its pretty odd that super89 was burning coils like jelly beans, MSD makes high quality parts... ACCEL is what i conisder a lower quality brand, id take an MSD set-up over ACCEL anyday

have you pulled the entire mount atleast once on any off these coil-swaps to make sure its grounded well? They don't neccessarily have to be, but from my experience it helps. - I know of a couple MSD's, one with probably 15k(miles) on it and one with around 80k on it, I've also got a hypercrap with about 60k on it.....no issues with any of them.

- Marine motors are notorious for frying coils due to lack of base ground. I realize this is a different situtation, but could be the same issue.
