Centerforce

Last winter I got a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch set for my Trans Am. Got the car running in May, and about 400 miles later the weights in the pressure plate got stuck. I almost couldn't get it back to work because it was slipping so bad. Took the tranny out and put in a different pressure plate I had, chalked it up to bad luck.

Since then I have put about 2000 miles on the car. Last week I have noticed a squeaking sound coming from under the car. Today I figured out it's the Centerforce throwout bearing, so I get to yank my tranny AGAIN to put in a new bearing.

400 miles on a pressure plate and 2000 miles on a throwout bearing seems a little ridiculous.
