Lookin for a block
Im lookin for a block, where would be the best place to get a nice solid 350 without spending a fortune? Ide prefer it to be new and through a manufacturer for the warranty.
Re: Lookin for a block
Summit and Jegs sell all kinds of blocks, short blocks, long blocks, etc.

I've got a bare roller TPI block out of an Iroc you can have for $120. No crank but the main caps are there. Perfect if you want to build your own setup as you want. I'm just south of Charlotte.

Re: Lookin for a block
Search for it at junkyards. I know thats were we (machine shop) get ours. We build 500-600 HP small blocks all the time without problems. I beleave GMPP just came out with a new block, but its $500, and its cast in Mexico.

GM blocks are going for around $700 bare on summit. Then, some short blocks with cast pistons are $1100. Pace Performance has a short block L98/LO5 350 replacement short block with hypereutectic pistons for around $869, I think they are getting rid of them(discontinued) PN# 12510735
