PaceSetter headers
I put PaceSetter shorties on my girlfriend's IROC-Z.
The over-all fitment is a 6 out of 10. The driver side was actually really hard to get it lined up with the block. I ended up having to hammer it in place with a rubber mallet. The passenger side wasn't too bad once I figured it out (the 2nd time around)
I didn't realize this until after I already had the headers on, but PaceSetter supplies a heater hose that you are supposed to put in place of the metal tube going into the firewall for the heater core. This is because the metal tubing will touch the 3rd primary on the passenger side header. I had everything bolted in and in place and realized "oh crap this won't work", so I had to take the passenger side back off, which by the way, you have to take off the starter to get the passenger side in and out. So after I got it back out I found that the heater tube is held in place by a small tab and a bolt that goes into the side of the fender. I removed the bolt, took off the tab and made a rigged up piece of metal to put in the tabs place so I could tuck the metal tubing underneath the air conditioning condensor. It fit pretty snug, and with the new bracket in place, the tube is far enough away from the header so she won't have any problems.
All in all, I wasn't too impressed with the fitment. It could have been worse for sure, but it wasn't the best either. I'm looking forward to installing my Hooker 2460's in the light that they should fit in a little bit easier.
