Anyone use the GTech-Pro RR?
Has anyone ever used this product or something similar? I was thinking of getting it as a Christmas present for myself but I want to know if you think it is worth $300+shipping. I autocross so I don't just want something for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, thats why I want the RR on the following website instead of the SS. The site: http://www.gtechpro.com/rr.html
Like I have previously said, any comments on the product (good or bad) and recommendations for similar products would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I don't have the RR version but I do have the SS version had it now for 3 years without a problem got it off ebay for like 200 bucks. easy to use as well...the RR one should be just as good just has a little more options but like I said everything is still working like the day I bought it.

Have you ever tested it to see how acurate it is?

Here is a test Car & Driver did comparing their VBOX to 7 other units ranging from $100-1000. It's 11 pages long but it is worth the read.

The GTech-Pro RR scored among the best while being 1/3 the price.

waste of money if you ask me.. i had an ss and it gets boring.. for the 1/4 mile runs, theres a whole list of things you need to do.. flat straight road, vehicle weight w/ driver, cant spin tires, etc, etc... just take it to the track and/or the dyno..

$50-75 every time I want to make a run is expensive considering I can run as many times as I want in as many vehicles as I want and get braking distances and much much more for $300.

As said above there is some stuff to do to get the best out of the G Tech and as for the wieght part of it...well if you wanna have a rough idea just take the wieght of the papers for the car and then your wieght and make an estimate on the fuel wieght and that will get you in the ballpark...if your serious about it get the car wieghed with you in it and the amount of gas you intend to run at each session (give or take) and your numbers will be fairly close...for the wieght thing all I did was take a little bit of junk to the dump and they wieghed me on the way in and then again on the way out so I got my numbers that way...as for how accurate it is...all depends on how well you set it up. I made a few runs at the track with it on just to say I did try it and it was pretty close, the most it was ever off so far was 4 thousandth which to some is a big deal but for what it is I was impressed with it but then again I went a little crazy setting mine up...and after the novelty wears off yea it gets kinda old...mine is sitting in my room haha but its really up to you, I would get some feed back from people that actually have the RR and see what they say...but again the product it's self is great.
