Re: Anyone using this set-up?...
I have seen these and similar ones on E-bay myself and wondered the same thing. They appear to sell the air intakes for 90-92 models as well. My '91 trans am currently has a custom fabricated setup the previous owner put on it and it's nearly crushing the radiator stem that runs to the overflow bottle.
So I'd be interested to hear what others opinions are as well. Every time I close the hood on my car I'm afraid it's going to snap the stem off the radiator and I just put it in this summer!

i'd like to see a picture of where the air filter actually sits. i have something similar i made myself, and as stated above, it's about crushing the radiator line.

Here is mine, made from 3 1/2" tube.
The air filter is under the car, I thought I would have problems with rain but I have not, it stays dry.

I am using one of those setups. It installed fine, and it looks pretty. I don't think that any kind of cold air package will outperform the other. I mean maybe by 2 or 3 horsepower, but nothing you will notice. You can tell it flows better than stock, and it sure looks better. I didn't think I could make one for the price I bought it for

That was my thinking. It looks like pieces from the Tuner Isle at Pep Boys, but I doubt I could piece-it together myself for the price on eBay.
