LCA relocation brackets

how much do they help in the launch? And will they allow me to power out of turns harder? Which setting is better 2" or 3"?

Re: LCA relocation brackets

I thought they were for lowered cars... not sure how much help for stock height cars they would be... But someone with experience can chime in...

Re: LCA relocation brackets

On a non-lowered car I think that aftermarket control arms would be more help then the relocation brackets.

But my cars lowered and I used to have no relocation bracket, it used to break traction if you slammed the gas from a stop, then I got it and put it at 2in with stock control arms and it wouldent break traction.

I recently added aftermarket control arms and I put it on 3in lower, so ill see how much that helps.

Re: LCA relocation brackets

On a lowered car the relocation brackets put the LCA back at the correct angle. On a non lowered car they preload the rear I've been told.

With stock boxed control arms and lcarbs I have a best 60ft of 1.59(with bfg drag radials)

Re: LCA relocation brackets

They are a tuning tool. Buy a set and try them. It's like a carb spacer, you can't just say they add xyz HP, you need to try it.

Re: LCA relocation brackets

I'm on stock rear springs on the 3" lower holes, and these help a ton. I need more tire, but have done a best of 1.44 60'. My old 305 did a 1.8 60' with street tires (radial t/a's) with this same setup.

Re: LCA relocation brackets

they do nothing more than adjust your anti squat and instant center. too little anti squat and youll never get traction on the strip, but too much and youll get an insane amount of rear brake hop under panic stops on the street. what you need depends on your car and its height, cog, tire height, uca angle, lca angle etc. its easy to graph out if you know what to look for.

Re: LCA relocation brackets

yeah. i got them bolted in, which was a pain but not as hard as it seems others had, and the car launches nicely. Lot more traction. I have it on the 3" setting. I can defintely power out of turns harder. Great upgrade. It feels like the back end is a little heavier though. Like its higher up. But who knows. Still feels solid. Gotta get them welded in.
