Competition Engineering
I have to give these guys a bad review and say, just stay away from their products period.
I bought their weld in sfc's and 10 point roll cage.
The sfc's did not fit well at all and many modifications had to be done to make them work. I am ok with cutting large piece out of my floor pan, but they still did not fit well. The holes that line up with the trany mount point were off, the jig they used to make the bracket that connects to the trany mount point was way off on the drivers side causing the drivers side sfc to sit severely cocked to one side, I had to hit it with an oxy acetaline torch and bend the bracket straight. Furthermore there are no end plates and they did not bother to cap the tubes. The only thing these could be good for is if your doing a back half already and then you can weld them into your new structure.
On to the roll cage, the A pillar bars are not long enough, the main hoop does not fit. I am going to have to cut it in the center and weld it back together just to get it to fit in the car.
I cannot and will not recomend any of competition engineerings products to ANYONE. I spent over $700 for my cage and connectors and now I feel like an idiot considering what kind of quality you can get from other venders for that amount of money.

Re: Competition Engineering
Man if I got parts from anyone that fit that badly I'd be sending them back, not spending hours hacking up brand new parts just to make them fit, especially if I paid as much as you did.

Re: Competition Engineering
No way would I cut the center hoop and weld it back together. Probably would not pass tech that way either.
