hey traxion

i noticed that you have a mini-ram ony your L98. i am thinking about getting the miniram for my L98 vette and was wondering how the installation went with the mini ram. is it pretty straight forward since its a one piece design? just curious to see how big of a PITA it is to install. thanks in advance.

There was a thread on this a while back. I know Trax has nothing but good things to say about the miniram. I would probably go that route myself but emisions legality is an issue for me.
I am going SS-LTR, probably AS&M with an Edelbrock base!
If I remember Trax had good results with the SS LTR setup with even greater results with the miniram!
Hope this helps.

Mine was a very simple install. I had a Super Ram prior to the MR. After pulling it three times, I swore to never put my self through the installation of that thing again. I will admit that I lost torque with the MR over the SR though.

I did not use the TPIS fuel lines. I made my own from -6AN braided lines. They cost me just under $200 for everything.

The brackets that I bought from TPIS for the throttle cable did not work at all. I think that it is due to my Accell 58m TB. I have seen other people use the TPIS bracket with smaller TBs and it fit fine. I fabricated one.

Bolting on the manifold is simple as hell.

You will need to modify the IAC housing on the bottom of the TB by cutting the coolant passages off of it. This is simple with a hacksaw.

The thermostat housing is a pain though. I used an aftermarket chrome piece from the local parts store. It was too large in diameter, so I had to fabricate an upper radiator hose. I have heard that the TPIS housing will not fit the F-body without cutting a rewelding to change the angle.

Hop this helps.

whiterocz,

I have some notes at home on the installation. I will try to post them this evening sometime.
