Re: need help with headlights
There are H4 HID kits out there for under $100 that work great! Be sure to get the kits with dual ballasts/ igniters. Electrical is pretty easy to figure out with a voltmeter. Ground, Low beam 12V and High beam 12V.. three wires three purposes. Some systems use grounding straps from the housing to the frame or other mounting framework that is steel and only have two wires that will most likely carry 12V depending on the position of the headlight switch. HID's will rock in those enclosures!

Re: need help with headlights
puting a HID kit on those housings is not gonna help you see any better and it gonna blind the crap out of everyone else on the road. HID bulbs need housings with real projectors and cutoffs to focus the light on the road and not blast it off into the trees.
That being said....generally those ebay lights come with the crappiest h4 bulbs you can buy. get a decent set of h4 bulbs and they will look a lot better.

part of your low light output is the black housings, when I have looked at them it states that the light out put is significantly less that clear.

none, its the black out part that makes the light output less.

Re: need help with headlights
You need to look up the wiring diagram for that bulb. If it's an H4 bulb (the Hella inner high-beam housings take an H1 bulb which has two wires) then the wiring will be the same as the H4s in the outer housings.
