Material is one thing, manufacturing and QC is another.

If I was slapping a stock rebuild back together and I lost a stock bolt, then yeah I would be tempted to use them if I couldnt find another stock bolt. If I was wanting to put together a good engine with quality fasteners, especially one with high combustion chamber pressures, I would go ARP.

ProComp does not have a reputation of having high quality products.

Truer things have never been spoken. I didn't have good luck with any of my pro comp products.

Personal preference? No, that doesnt fly. Preference would be ford vs chevy. Orange block or a black block. Weighing your options and making an informed decision based on cost versus quality isnt a preference. It is a risk. More times then not with most lower cost/lower hp builds, the risk is low and you will never have a problem with the procomp bolts, stock bolts, or any cheap replacement.

You may not ever have problems with a higher hp build, but the risk increases. Id rather spend the extra on a product that may have 1 failure per 10,000 versus 1 failure in 1,000. I mean hey, in russian roulette, there are 5 winners.........

All clear. I wanted to put them to my 400 with new heads, but i`ll not take the risk, even if they are same quallity than ARP ,(i don`t belive it).

I already got the ARP on Ebay.
Thanks

In my opinion, it's smarter to save money by going with a good quality bolt kit vise a stud kit instead of gambling on a cheap stud kit.
