B&M SHIFTER CABLE BROKE?

ok i went out to my car and put it in reverse and it didnt go. so i thought i blew my tranny. but i got under that car and it was still in park position so i knew it wasnt the tranny. so i took the boot and the plate off the shifter and i saw that the casing was broke . and the inside white covered lines were teh only ones moving when i shifted and that the actual cable wasnt working. because it would shift the tranny arm actuator. what happened. and it is brand new(3 months old). any help will help. and what length is the old cable i want a shorter cable. the other one was too long. what should i go with. thanks all.

If they're not adjusted right, they can get broken quite easily. That shifter puts out some leverage!

It's only about 2 1/2 to 3 feet from the shifter to the shifter arm.

The one that comes with the shifter is 5 feet and PN#80605 and runs probably $30. I know they make shorter ones, I'd say go with 3 feet. That's what I'm gonna do if mine ever breaks.

Hey i am checking in to it. i will post the price here so you will know how much it will be. and i had the cable adjusted just right but i think i hit an ice chunk the other day that might have knocked it out of place. oh well i will get it worked out. thanks though i will get back on the cable.
