Borgeson GM Variable Ratio Box 800205
I installed this unit on my 1982 Trans AM. It requires adjusting of the sector shaft tension and adjustor plug, just like any re-man steering box. The feeling is much better, you still have fast ratio in parking lots, and no over steer sensitivity at high speeds which the fast box demonstrates.
Also, the feel of the box is much more firm, it feels as firm as my BMW, and it has a good amount of pull when you are cornering.
For $333 I would say it is worth it, but only if you service the rest of the front end and suspension/bushings and install a wonder bar.

I spent double that on a 600 style box and was not happy with the results...
It fixed the dead spots, but i was hoping it would feel better... You have the stock 15" wheels on your 82 TA? I have the 15" Turbocast on mine...
