The 3rd bolt is very nice to have when installing these. You can bolt it to the car without having to hold the swaybar in place at the same time. I run these on all of the cars that can use an aftermarket one.

So do the UMI, and other brands, have trouble with certain fans? Both look really nice

Re: Top Down Solutions steering brace

I have one of the TDS wonderbars on both of my cars, which both have dual fans, and I have not had any clearance issues.

Re: Top Down Solutions steering brace

the UMI unit fits also(its a nice piece..thats why I have one)..its less then a pound heavier (10oz)I'm dropping as much weight as I can with things I can..without chopping the car up to a tin can..no cutting! keeping it as strong as I can..

Re: Top Down Solutions steering brace

I have the TDS bar and I did have to trim my factory single fan shroud slightly at the very bottom with my dremel. Otherwise the fit is perfect. When I swapped to the TPI dual fan set up, zero issues. When I later installed the LS fan swap, also no issues. After 10 years I need to have it re-coated but otherwise its held up very well.

Re: Top Down Solutions steering brace

It shouldn't. I have Hotchkiss sway bars and it didn't interfere with them.
