I have a 86 trans am w/305 converted from computer controlled Rochester to an Edelbrock 650 w vacuum secondaries. Performer eps intake, msd Street fire hei, hooker shorty headers and flowmaster back exhaust. Trans is built and has a 2400 stall, and I believe 323 gears in the rear. I'm back and forth between the summit 1103 and 1105 cam. Or are both too much. Not a daily driver. Just something to play with on nice days.

 

Sorry someone hacked the factory carb off the car but at least you can change the cam and work with the edelbrock and an air fuel meter. On a near stock 305 like yours I would probably go with the 1103.
