Howdy,

i am am in the middle of attempting of coming up with a re design for the third Gen Camaro. Something new and fresh but that will still pay homage to the OEM style tail light.
I plan to bring the design to the community for anybody who might be interested please let me know.

Which brings me to my request for cad files. If anybody happens to have or can direct to where I would be able to find the cad files for the complete tail light assembly I would be highly appreciative.

There isn't any cad files available for these lights. At least in the form of original CAD files from the manufacture. Keep in mind they were developed in the early 80's when CAD was very slowly coming into existence in mainstream usage and only at that stage in the architectural and civil engineering fields primarily. I would also venture to guess that there hasn't been any re-engineered by third parties.

Best bet is to find a company that will scan the parts and send you the files in your required format. Though technically speaking those designs are protected IP so it would be best to build your custom cad from scratch from a legal point of view.
