A good TBI kit
I was wondering if anyone knows of a good and affordable Throttle Body Injector kit for a 84 305 V8. I've dealt with a carburetor before and do NOT want to deal with it again! With my own research, ACEs kits are nice and not as pricey as others but I was wondering if there was anything better and cheaper.

Your best bet is to find a complete used takeout of a TBI car. You'll need the engine harness and ECM as well. Doable, but maybe not worth the hassle in the end.

Holley Sniper $1200, probably way easier than trying to cobble together an original TBI system.

Would you recommend ACEs kits? I've seen a couple reviews and I see they have sales all the time for really good prices on full TBI kits.

I don't have any experience with them. Although I have never used a Holley kit before I have seen them in action and seen many people install them with great success.

I have no experience with ACES and have never even heard of them until your post. The fact they are less than half as much as other, known TBI setups would make me VERY leery.

I've installed 2 different stand alone efi systems in my car and helped instal some others. They were all multi port efi not tbis. I would stick w one of the bigger brands. I've heard of ACES but never seen anyone w one of their systems. Regardless of what brand you get there are always additional thing you will need. Most come with a distributor/ecm and harness. They usually lack a fuel system. You will need a regulator, filters, pumps and fuel line. The feed line in these cars will feed an efi system. The return is small for a high flow system, so running a new line may be necessary. Early carb cars don't have an in tank pump. If yours does that will be something to take into consideration. You can put an in line fuel pump in but they don't last as long and are loud.
The edelbrock systems I've used have been really easy to set up and get running well. The Holley systems have a good reputation for setup as well.
Another thing to consider is hood clearance. These systems are usually taller than a stock setup. I have a pro Flo XT on my car and it clears the stock TA hood. I had an older pro Flo 4 barrel years ago. It wouldn't even come close to fitting under my stock hood haven w a sad little air filter.
I know your looking at TBI setups but just putting it out there!

Yeah, intake manifold choice is key in my experience with the holley terminator 4 barrel if you want a reasonable air cleaner without a huge amount of drop on the base.
