When I was cruising to Austin i noticed a loss in oil pressure, then heard a knocking noise, "spun a bearing". I shut it down quickly and towed it back. Found my oil pump mounting flange cracked in half and a bunch of metal flakes in my oil. figured just needed to rebearing it, but when i looked closer, i also found one of the bobweights on my crank is coming off.
It isn't completely off, but i can see at the base of it where it is separating from the crank.
Does anyone else have a problem like this? a few weeks before this happened i found a broken main cap bolt right next to this weight im guessing it was causing a vibration that caused the bolt to break... i didn't notice it at that point in time, though.
