www.performancewheeloutlet.com do they know there stuff?

ok.. well i was SO close to getting some ZR-1 rims *17x9.5 up front and 17x11 in back* on my 86 iroc. well when i went to order them, the guy at www.performancewheeloutlet.com said they wont fit my car and it only fits 93-up. and i said fine and hung up. now i could have sworn i have seen 3rd gens with zr-1 rims on them and not had any issues. can i get these rims?? if so what back spacing do i need? and do i just not tell him what car i have? if i cant get these rims.. what are some nice 17x9.5 and 17x11 rims?

He's right, they wont fit. You have to buy spacers to make them fit.

I don't THINK you need spacers for the front
I read about one guy who put a set on his
IROC-Z he put a 4th gen rear on it so he wouldn't
chance one the wheels snapping off.But he's running
alot of power. So thats somthing to think about before
you get spacers.Theres a spot called [url]www.CapitalWheels.com
they have them in 16 inchs I don't know if you need spacers
for those but hey give it a look see,it's in the after market
section.I hope that helps you.

go to www.skulte.com under tech articles there is an article on how to adapt certain wheels to 3rd gen camaros. He also sells the adapters too. I have 2.25" in the front and 1.25" in the rear, which I'm pretty sure is what you need as well.
