Replacement coil??
Replacement coil??
Does anyone make a replacement coil for 5.7 TPI motor's that mount's in the stock location?Manufacturer/PN's?
I ordered some new plug wires and figured that I might as well replace the coil at the same time as part of the tune-up.
Thank's in advance SR

Accel, MSD, and Mallory, to name a few....
Check your Jeg's or Summit catalogs in the distributor section for 'HEI Replacement Coils'
They should be about $30-$50

i have a accell cost me about 50.00 works great no complants. The hardest part of the install was drilling the rivits out on the old coil. Wasnt to bad though
You don't have the type with the coil in cap do you? If you do I got the Hypertech coil for mine and holy crap. It is bad ***. My friend put one on his '90 Vette also and he got good results from his too. If that's the type you have, I say go Hypertech all the way.

I loved my MSD Blaster Coil. Easy install and like the other guy said, hardest part was knocking out the old rivets but that wasn't even hard. Good little mod and step towards upgrading ur ignition.
