Proform Cust. Service

I know Proform isn't one of the big names in engine parts, but I bought a roller rocker set from them for the engine I put in my Camaro. Just the other day on the way home from work I dropped a cylinder. Investigation revealed that the intake rocker on #1 broke. I had about 60 miles on this engine. I called them today to see if they would replace it. They didn't question where I bought this from, how long I had them, nothing. They asked that I return the broken one, and they will send me 2 new ones. I wish every company had service like this.

Wow! I have Proform rocker arms on my heads. I hope I get the same kind of treatment if anything was to happen to them (knock on wood).

Perhaps you should try to talk them out of a full set, just to have on hand as they break on you over the next year.

Before ordering parts for my build-up, I asked Competition Products about those rockers (their catalog says something to the effect of "warranted against breakage only for one year", and calls them "Imported Roller Rockers"). Basically, they said don't use them on anything other than a standard lift cam with standard type valve springs.

I ended up getting roller-tip stamped elongated slot rockers, just to keep the cost down. CP said that was better than going with the Proform rollers with the ZZ3 cam and the springs I am getting. They sacrificed about $50 in sales to give me that advice. That give you any clues?
