Saturday I emailed the same request to both, Moser redirected me from 4340 to 1541H, Strange asked a couple of good questions. Monday morning I answered, Monday afternoon they also tried to go 1541H, even though I never mentioned cost.
I used Google, and found 4340 shafts by Yukon, for $154 each from Summit. Problem solved, but my solution is about 7/16" longer per side than I had in mind.
Still, Strange has much better customer service than Moser. Just not good enough to give the customer what he asked for.
