I had it almost done then it was recalled and we had a baby in the meantime so I haven't had time to put it back together. I'm hoping to get to work on it again this weekend. What irked me about the whole deal was I had to buy another set of gaskets to fix their mistake and I had to repeatedly call them to get a new base sent back to me. Both bases were in need of some gasket matching, the ports on the stealth ram look terrible compared to the performer vortec intake I have.

wow, what a ringing endorsement.

Maybe I'll ditch the Etec 170 HSR combo in favor of something more traditional. :-/

I'd still take the HSR over buying a TPI base and runners, the HSR is way easier to work on and a little cheaper. You just need to do a little work on it before you bolt it on. They are pressure testing the new ones they're building now before they ship them. I guess it could have been worse, at least they called me to fix the problem before it dumped coolant in my engine.

Yeah and they sent ups to my house to pick it up and returned it next day air. Besides all intakes should be port matched before they go on anyway so whats the difference.

well, if they would have made the hsr for vortec heads from the start I would have that in my car but, the hsr and afr heads worked pretty good too

my vortec stealth ram is up and running finally, it has a lot of tuning issues to take care of but no problems with the intake. The people at holley sent me some free stuff for my troubles, so I guess it was all worth it. I stepped on it good once just to see what it would do and I must say I'm pleased so far.
