HSR sensor placement
I have canfield heads on my car so I dont have any holes in my heads for Fan switch and Temp sender so, I have put all three sensors (CTS/gauge/fan) on the front of my HSR and then I put the heater hose to the upper hole on the waterpump just to have it connected.
But now I wont get any heat in my car so I guess I have to move the heater hose to the intake, this mean I have to move 1 sensor to another location, where?
If I drill a hole and tap it where the coolant ports are blocked off by the intake on the back of the heads what sensor should I move to this location the get the most accurate reading from it, or any other ideas?????

Over here, you can buy tstat housings tapped for a sensor.
I went and looked at my hsr.
Tap the flat pad on the left side just below the 3/8 hole on the front of the intake.
As long as you never plan on running a short WP and pre 69 brackets you'll never have a problem.
That should give you 4 spots to use.
I still haven't figured how you did the heater with only one hose.......
Or do 3rd gen wp's have two connections on the pump?

Heater hose is usually 1/2" NPT.
The rt hand hole on my HSR is 1/2".
The left hand one is 3/8"NPT- for a sensor
I forgot about the tank connection for the return.
Only been about 10yrs since I had a 3rd gen.
I wonder what a NPT tap goes for in Sweden?
