Found a great deal on an hsr setup. wanna know things like which injectors...

I found a great deal on a setup. the manifold set, rails with afpr, high pressure feul lines and fittings, for 400 bucks.
anyhow, the reason i was looking for an intake in the first place is because of what the previous owner did. he swapped in a zzz 350 into it, but put the stock tpi back on. besides a hypertech chip, the tpi, wiring, computer, etc is all stock. so if i add the stealth ram, what things should i worry about computerwise? also, i assume new injectors would be a very good thing. did i mention the car originally had a 305? so everything is stock from that..no porting or anything like that either. just an accel twin 58 throttle body. so if i buy this, is there anything else i should look at getting with this. im pretty sure injectors would be a good thing. but what about if i dont change the computer? what about the hsr swap in general without changing the comp? any help would be great, thanks a lot guys.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Injectors are sized according to the engine's fuel demands, not the brand of the casting.

A 350 TPI uses 22 lb/hr injectors. The LS1, with about the same displacement but a much higher usable RPM range (and therefore much higher fuel reuirements), uses 26 lb/hr injectors. A typical 350 that might reasonably be used with a HSR will have fueling needs in a similar range.

People report good success with stock LS1 injectors, and the 24 lb/hr FMS ones. Either can be had for cheap. I'd start there.

sofakingdom: There is alot of confusion concerning LS1 injectors VS the L98 350 injectors. The confusion is caused by people like you who do not know that the two engines are operated with vastly different fuel pressures.

If you took the LS1 injector and put it in a 350 TPI, the fuel flow rate would be close to 22.5#/hr,,, nearly the same as the L98 injectors.

The LS1 cars run under 58 psi fuel pressure, while our L98s run under a stock fuel pressure of 43.5 psi.

ZZ4: SVO does not exist anymore, the Ford Racing injectors are the same as the previous SVO injectors, name change only. Personally, I use the 24#/hr injectors in my 350, and still use them in my 395 cu.in. stroker. I'm running them at 52 psi.

You can go with good GM 350 injectors (22#/hr) or the 24#/hr Ford Racing injectors with an AFPR. You might find it necessary to get a custom chip due the injector fuel flow rate. You will at a minimum need the 350 Hypertech or SLP chip for your 350, since you had a 305 stock wise.
