Ok...today i bought a 91 RS. It has a 350,fuel injected the guy said ....5 speed tranny....i'm thinkin a 3.08 rearend.Now on the intake it looks like a fuel injected carbuerator....what in the crap is the thing ? lol.Also...is there a way to find out what year the motor is by any chance ?...i know it came with a 305 from the sticker under the hood.Also where can i get a 16" rim reasonable ?...my left rear is warped....felt like warpin dudes eye but oh well...any and i do mean ANY help is appreciated big time Jamie

 

If it came stock with a 5 speed, and has original rear, it should be 3.08... If its the original engine, its a 305 TBI, kinda looks like a carb.

Post a pic of your engine bay, maybe some of the guys on here can help ya. Maybe see if you can get a casting number off the engine block to find out if it's a 305 or 350, to see if the guy was giving you a bunch of BS.

Just curious, how much did you pick the car up for? Seems kinda shady without knowing more info from ya.

Junkyards for the rims..... Ive personally never seen the 16" 91-92 Z28/RS rims at a junkyard, but check it out.

Also check the classified boards here, there are always rims for sale.

That sounds like a TBI (Throttle body injection) intake. It's very possible that it's still the stock 305 and he either lied to you or didn't know himself. Do a search on here and you'll find several ways to tell the difference between a 305 and 350.
