Superram for $450
I just picked up this superram from a friend at work,it came off a 383 camaro that the guy parted out because he could not get the bugs worked out.(running to rich).Anyways will this net me some horsepower just bolting it on,or should I wait till I build a motor. The car is a 89 formula 350 with all bolt on's,but no cam or heads. The car allready runs 8.83 @ 80.2 in the 1/8th.I also plan on stripping the paint off of it-because I like the alum.look, and one more thing I am selling the 58mm throttle body because I allready have the lingenfelter 58mm TB.

you will feel a diffrence ofcourse but you will feel even more of a diffrence when you install some aftermarket heads (keep in mind when you get them to stick with the same bolt patern), cam, and what ever else you might want to do as well. One thing is that the 58mm is probably goin to be too much for your 350 unless you stroke it --->383 if not i would recomend goin with a 52mm... make sure you port your base if your bolting it onto your stock mani if you want to squeez some more power out of your stock setup for now... either way you can only gain power now and even more later when you get an aftermarket (TPIS's bigmouth, arizona speed&marine, edelbrock, accel, etc.)base amoung other upgrades.....
go to accel's web site and download the instructions as well as read up on the posts that other members have posted up here .. learn from their experiences thats the best way

Do yourself a favor or two....
First - order TWO complete SR gasket sets from Summit, they're like $30 a set. That way you'll have the corrected gaskets for the runner to lower intake seal (older sets have a built in vac leak).
Second - either slot the end of the plenum to to runner bolts so you can use a screwdriver to thread them up into the plenum, or tap the runners for a larger bolt and drill out the holes in the plenum so you can thread them down from the top.
Third - if you have your intake manifold off (or have one to use), do a dry run on the bench and put it all togther without sealant or gaskets. What you're checking for is bolt lengths. You only want to tighten one bolt at a time to see if it is bottoming out before it tightens up. If it tightens up, back that one off and try the next one. This is primarily for the runner to lower intake bolts. They are so hard to get to and see that you often can't tell if a bolt tightened up or bottomed out (I got bit by that one for almost a year).
Fourth - When attaching the runners to the lower intake on the car, do not tighten them down untill all the bolts that attach the plenum to the runners are started. Helps minimize the flex in the aluminum.
Fifth - put a THIN layer of gasket seal on both sides of each gasket interface.
If you follow the instructions in their doc, and keep in mind the ones above, you should be okay. I'd also check that the lid is fairly flat, the older units were known to warp pretty badly. At least those are the highlights from my experiences with my SR over the last couple of years.
Some folks like to run the injector harness under the plenum instead of over the valve covers, looks cleaner. May require lengthening an injector connection a couple of inches or so on one or two of them (I had to).
Good Luck

No guesses from me, especially since you haven't changed the lower intake, heads, etc. But you should be able to rev a little higher. With my 200cc Sportsman II heads and mild cam I have no trouble at all breathing all the way to 6K.....
