I'll let you know in December. I passed with a heavily ported TPI setup and the LT4 HOT cam but no EGR or AIR pump the past 2 times.

so u passed the sniffer without egr or AIR Thats great
I was thinking about rippin out AIR when i dropped HSR on top
are u running headers or did u plug AIR tubes what about cat

I have the Hooker 2055 shorty headers. I cut off the AIR tubes, tapped the hole (I left maybe 1/8" of the tube), and screwed in plugs. I have a Random Tech cat installed once every 2 years.
Thats just about the route i was planning on takin myself. I still dont have headers but i have the catback installed and i still have yet to weld everything together. I know a muffler shop would make me a direct fit pipe for the cat (slip on y bolt on catback) for about $40 bucks and I plan on getting headers next. I should have my HSR in the next couple of weeks and am going to put that on first. I have a 350 with about 10000 miles on the short block (spun main bearing on original) and am planning on getting heads some day. I first want to open the exhaust and install some UMI SFCs so i dont twist the frame. But before I do all that I am planning on getting some moates stuff so I can start to burn my own chips after i install the HSR and rip out the egr and AIR. I dont have to take emiisions for another year so after i get the HSR on and a new chip I was going to take it to get tested to see if i could pass emissions before i go any further

You can pass emissions with the AIR system removed. I pass in MA which is fairly strict, as did many other people all over the country. EGR seems to play a larger role in emissions. You may need to burn a chip to pass depending how strict your tests are and other factors of your setup. Also, you won't be able to use a strut tower brace.
Yea i know about the regular STB i have on currently on the tpi setup wont work, But I have a deal on a brace made for the HSR was wondering if it would clear my stock Iroc hood. As for emissions I have heard that people in IL have already passed without egr here, but I know emissions are strict in other states

I just put the HSR on my 92, and it rubs the hood, you won't be able to get a STB to run across the top.
