24 lbs injectors adequate?

Hello,
I'd like to know are 24lbs injectors sufficient to 355 vortec engine(hot cam+ported vortecs+stealth ram)or do it need bigger injectors?

Maybe. I was nearly maxing out my 24's on a 355 with TF heads, HOT cam, ported runners/base, and headers. With the HSR, I knew they'd be maxed out, since others had the same experience. It all depends on how much power you're making and how high the powerband is...

The engine that I have going to buy makes about little over 400hp at 5500rpm and over 400 lbs torque.Engine is dynoed with 850 cfm carb,1 5/8headers.So I'm not so sure that it makes a honest 400hp in "real world" situation. I looked that story "ram that tpi"where they have to lower fuelpressure at that iroc that they got a/f ratio right. They have 24 lbs injectors. Are 30 lbs injectors overkill to my combo?

If you can burn your own chips 30's should work fine.

24#/hr injectors should be plenty, but I would install an AFPR (adjustable fuel pressure regulator). Currently, I am running 24s in my 395 cu.in strker at 52psi. With this stroker, I am finally maxing out the injectors. So, for a 355 and no power adder, the 24s will be great at about 48psi fuel pressure.

Also, if you can not burn your own chips, I would definitely use 24s, 30s will cause too many ECM issues, I think.

I bought yesterday 30lbs svo's at ebay.Propably must go to aftermarket ecm(holley,haltec,megasquirt..),or buy another prom from lsracingchips.Mailorderprom isn't best solution, but I have no personal experience at promburning(-870ecm...)
