Porting LT1 intake

Right now I have a converted LT1 intake.
It has a 48mm throttle body on it.

Do you think I could port the opening of the intake like the miniram for a 58mm throttle body?
By this I mean cut it into 1 big oval hole rather than 2 holes.

I want to do it now while the intake is off the motor rather than wait until I have more $ down the road to get a 58mm tb and get shavings in the intake.

You can do that or you can just port it to 58 mm without cutting the middle out. Just be sure not to open up the little hole in the center on the bottom.

I just looked at the intake.
I think it it ported already but I am not sure.

Can anyone measure their miniram or lt1 to see how big the holes are for a 58mm throttle body?? Please?

58mm openings = 2.28 inches (just over 2 and 1/4 inches diameter

After I posted that question, I slapped myself on the forehead.
That's self explanitory

Cool, it's already ported!

Any other porting I can do to the intake before I put it on?

LOL - I understand that one, been there and done it myself far too many times. Almost have a permanent bruise on my forehead....

Not a whole lot else you can port on those from what I've seen. Not much "meat" around the ports to allow much porting without welding on material. Watch your corners around the water passages, several folks weld on material there to stop small coolant leaks from what I've seen and heard.
