Will stock injectors work on a 383?
Will my stock injectors work on my new 383 motor? I do believe the motor was running alittle rich before it quit. And also I'm using the stock TB so that should help to keep the car from running too lean right? (its no longer tpi its been converted to a hsr).

Will it work...yes but depending all of your mods like head flow and cam, you might need bigger but they will work for now. The HSR will flow more and will need more fuel in the upper end.

Kinda depends on the cam at this point. I doubt the stock injectors are what's best. Maybe if you crank up the fuel pressure (and have a great enough pump to not drop pressure at full flow). The key is to have enough flow to feed the hp with about 85% duty cycle, and assume about .45 BSFC.
350hp at 90% duty cycle and .45 will work with 22's. The BSFC can vary depending on the amount of friction accessories used, and other friction and pumping losses. .45 is on the low side, and may underestimate your requirements.
A 383 making only 350 hp with a HSR means the cam is pretty small...

i am currently running a 385 on my bird and it is driveable....just not past 4000 rpms....goes very lean. I need to put in 30# svo injectors and walbro 255 fuel pump but to answer your question yes it can weather you can enjoy the 383 or not that might have a different answer....

Re: Will stock injectors work on a 383?
Well I know I'm going to need a bigger fuel pump and #30lb injectors but I ran out of money and as for the cam I'm running a 230/236 duration with 1.5rr which puts my lift at .540/.537 with a 113 lsa so Its a fairly good cam if you ask me. But I guess that means that I can use the injectors but prob. can't take it above 4000-4500rpms right? Because then it'd start running out of fuel to feed the motor.

My advise is to upgrade the fuel pump, install 24#/hr Ford Racing injectors (maybe even 30s) along with an AFPR. And of course an ECM tune is required.
