Converting to Pro-Ram... couple Q's

Hey guys,

I just bought a pro-ram and had a couple of questions. The system was bought off of another member here, and he has been really helpful, but i had a couple particular questions.

The system, is the pro-ram intake and fuel rails, but has been changed over to a single blade TB, 1200 cfm, from a ford. 110 degree elbow, and a F.A.S.T. bank to bank DFI, harness. My question is this, with my motor, being a 355, with 10:1 compression and a computer controlled Comp Cams bumpstick, 700R4, and 3.36 gears out back, will I lose a lot of bottom end going from a slightly modified TPI to this system, or will it be insignificant.

Wether or not I do, I am going with this system, so this was just out of curiosity. Also, what should this push the peak power RPM to, ballpark estimate?

My final question is, the wiring harness from the original TPI will be removed and replaced with this. I dont have to worry about SMOG because I am registered in an emissions free county in colorado. What will I have to splice into the F.A.S.T. harness from my original harness. I know that the Knock sensor is one of them.

Also, this is a MAF system from an 85 Z28, with the large cap HEI.

If the cam specs are needed, just let me know and i can post them up.

Cheers,
Brett

Definitely post the cam specs. If you look at the cam card, it will have an operating rpm range for the cam. For most of the small block cams that rpm range is based on a 350, so the upper number of that ( if 2400-5800 that would be 5800 - just an example) will be around (with in a couple hundred rpm) where your peak power occurs. How much low end you lose will also depend on the camshaft. Down below the low rpm cam spec it will probably be noticible. Out of curiosity, are your heads stock? As for the splicing, I would check the FAST wiring diagram and see. You might find installation instructions on the website as well.
